About MediCentre
At Portarlington MediCentre, our focus is on serving the needs of patients, families and the local community. Led by an expert team of GPs with decades of experience, our ethos is centered around providing welcoming, compassionate and individualised care in a respectful and confidential environment. We are fortunate to have a number of highly specialised medical practitioners and an accomplished nursing team to cater to the growing demands of our general practice services. We appreciate each patient's needs are different and thus strive to provide tailored consultations.
We offer an array of services, including antenatal and postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and regular check-ups. We also provide clinics for the management of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma and COPD. We provide medical services to companies for medical screening, pre-employment medicals, or for an independent medical opinion regarding work-related issues. Those interested in fitness and nutrition guidance will find informed and helpful support.
Your first point of contact will be with an experienced member of our administration team who will be delighted to assist you. We look forward to welcoming you!
New Patients
Please find new patient registration forms available at reception. We do not presently accept applications online.
Please note that due to current and increasing levels of clinical workload we unfortunately have a very limited capacity to accept new patients. All decisions to accept a new patient will be made exclusively by practice partners. We endeavour to make a decision on all applications as quickly as possible and will communicate the decision once one is made.
Please note that at this time, all our GMS (General Medical Services) patient lists are at full capacity. Unfortunately, the HSE has advised that we are unable to add any additional medical card patients to our lists at this moment. We appreciate your understanding. If you require further assistance, please contact the HSE or check their website for information on other available GP practices in your area.
